I entered the Marine Corps June 7 1967. Went to boot camp in San Diego Ca. and after boot camp I was sent to Camp Pendleton for ITR training. From there I was sent with 11 other Marines to Ft. Lee, Va for Quartermaster School in Boot Repair. When I left there in Nov 1967 I stayed home a few extra days and was sent to the Brig at Camp Pendleton and got 30 days.  Got out and went into training for Vietnam.  Arrived in Vietnam June 1,1968 and was sent to Quang Tri to work on Ice truck. Left Vietnam June 26 1969. Came home for leave and was sent back to Camp Pendleton for duty. Was only there about 3 months when an opening came up for Navy Ammunition Depot in McAlester, Okla. Went there in Sept 1969 while there married my first wife and we had our first child there. I received Honorable Discharge in Oct 1971. While serving in the Marine Corps I earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/5* Vietnam Campaign Medal, Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces Meritorious Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal. M-14 Marksman Badge.
Went to work for Pepsi Cola and quit for two years and went back in 1979.  Lost my first wife in 2004 and remarried to Lynn . Retired from Pepsi Cola in Jan 2012 after 38 years. Lynn and I love spending our time camping and fishing
After that I joined the VFW in Owasso and then the Tulsa VFW Honor Guard. In May 2014 I joined the Justin L. Noyes Marine Corps League in Claremore.  In 2015 I was asked to serve as the Marine Corps League State Chaplain to present. In 2016  I became Sr Vice for the Noyes Detachment, also was Marine of the year (2016) for our Detachment. At present I’m serveing as Chaplain for our Detachment. Our Marine Corps League has Partner with the Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War. Where we honor all Vietnam Era Veteran with a Lapel Pin.
 My wife Lynn, and I do Toys for Tots with the Marine Corps Reserves every year, we set up a different location around the Catoosa area.
